The Shammama Foundation was established in September 1999 in Quetta, Pakistan, following the displacement of the Hazara people from Afghanistan. Named after the historic female Buddha statue in Bamiyan, the Foundation serves as a symbol of cultural resilience and the enduring spirit of a community that refuses to let its identity be silenced.

1: Vision, To create an empowered Hazara community where literacy is universal, human potential is fully developed, and cultural heritage is preserved through historical narratives.
2: Mission, To provide high-quality education to children, youth, and adults (both male and female) in Quetta-Balochistan, cultivating a skilled workforce rooted in their authentic historical legacy.

1: Established in September 1999 to address the educational and cultural needs of the community.
2: Cultural Center for youth and adults, offering educational and cultural programs in Persian.
3: Goharshad Experimental School (primary, middle, and high school), focusing on modern sciences, mother tongue education, English, and authentic history.
4: English language courses for youth and adults to improve language proficiency and academic capacity.
5: Computer training courses for youth and adults to develop technical skills and prepare for the job market.
6: Mola Ali and Arlas primary schools (established in 2000), providing early education for children in Persian.
7: Accelerated education courses for young girls and women (established in 2003), offering intensive instruction in Persian in response to community needs.

The leadership of the Shammama Foundation was initially established by a founder and was later expanded into a Board of Directors. The founder of the foundation was Mirza Hossein Abdollahi. The rights holder of the foundation was Mohammad Hassan Refaat. Additionally, the responsibility for the executive management of the foundation was held by Safar Ali Mosafer Yari. At that time, the Board of Directors was considered the highest decision-making authority, responsible for managing and supervising all activities and executive structures of the foundation. The former leadership structure included the Board of Directors, Director, Cultural Center, School, Goharshad High School, Goharshad Secondary School, Goharshad Primary School, Mullah Ali Primary School, Arlas Primary School, Accelerated Adult Education Program, Advanced English Course, and Computer Course.

1: 2000 male and female 12th-grade graduates.
2: 873 girls and boys newly enrolled in primary education.
3: 200 girls and boys admitted from other schools into various grades.
4: 100 graduates from computer courses.
5: 300 graduates from accelerated education courses.
6: 20 cultural gatherings organized.
7: 20 sessions on teaching historical narratives organized.

Due to changes in the government policy of Pakistan regarding the deportation of Afghan migrants from the country, the officials of the Shammama Foundation decided to revise the executive structure. Based on this revision, the current leadership has been organized into two main sections:
Board of Directors: In the current leadership of the Shammama Foundation, following the change in the government policy of Pakistan, a seven-member Board of Directors has been established to supervise the performance and activities of the Foundation’s Director.
Foundation Director: The responsibility for the executive management of the Foundation is held by Safar Ali Mosafer Yari. The new executive structure includes the Board of Directors, Director, Cultural Center, Schools, English Language Courses, Shammama International English College, and Shammama International School.

Includes the Shammama International College (2-year program) and Shammama International High School (10-year program), both utilizing English as the primary medium of instruction and incorporating the Cambridge curriculum.
